A graveside service for William Ray "Bill" Stanley, age 84, of McKinney, formerly of Sulphur Springs, will be conducted at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 7, 2009, at Princeton Cemetery in Princeton, with Monty Ray Stanley officiating. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, July 6, 2009 at Hi Point Church of Christ in McKinney.
William Ray "Bill" Stanley passed away Saturday morning, July 4, 2009, at Red River Regional Hospital in Bonham. He was born in Frisco, on January 25, 1924, the son of John Lewis Stanley and Ida Mae (Jordan) Stanley. She married Lesa Faye Tallant, at Renner, on May 21, 1949; she survives. Mr. Stanley was a retired switchman for Southwestern Bell and a member of Hi Point Church of Christ in McKinney. He served in the United States Army during World War II.
Other survivors include: daughter, Judith Carol Seibert of Boerny; son, Monty Ray Stanley of Carrolton; sister, Betty French of Plano; grandchildren, Angela Shaw, Aileen Stanley, Bryan Stanley, Justin Seibert and Kasey Seibert and great-grandchildren, Jeremiah and Rebecca Shaw. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Juanita Horton, Leta Tucker and Johnnie Stanford.
