William Singleton

Funeral services for William Singleton of Cumby, will be 1:00 p.m., Friday, November 21, 2008 at Cornerstone Baptist Church with Rev. Richard Deteau officiating. Interment will follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery of Cumby with David Singleton, Mitchell Singleton, Kris Ratzlaff, Kevin Ratzlaff, Jeff Newton, Kent Ratzlaff, Billy Johnson and John Johnson serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be 6 till 8 pm, Thursday, November 20, 2008 at the Cumby Funeral Home.
William Singleton passed away Monday morning, November 17, 2008, at Hart Hospital, in Plano. William was born in San Antonio, TX on March 10, 1941, the son of William Edward and Zola V. Dosier Singleton. He married Martha Ann Jones on May 4, 1957 in Dallas, TX. She survives. He was a maintenance supervisor at TXI Ready Mix.
Other survivors included; son, David Earl Singleton of Corydon, IN; daughter; Deborah Ann Ratzlaff of Wylie; sister, Sharon Newton of Cumby; brothers, John Thomas Johnson of Cumby, and Billy Eugene Johnson of Rockwall; grandchildren, Lena Singleton, Kris Ratzlaff, Amanda Chandler, Kevin Ratzlaff, Mitchell Singleton, Elizabeth Singleton, and Tonya Singleton; great-grandchildren, Alysia Llebreas, Jonathan Chandler, and Allana Llabreas.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
