William Cobb

Memorial service for Bill Cobb, age 82 of Sulphur Springs, Texas will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, August 5, 2023 at First Baptist Church in the Spence Chapel with Rev. Fred Lewis officiating. There will be no formal visitation. Mr. Cobb passed away on July 26, 2023 at Birchwood Nursing Home – Cooper.

Bill was born on April 23, 1941 in Orofino, ID to Wilbur Kenneth and Lorraine Dora (White) Cobb. He married Brenda Wilson on June 29, 1963 in Winnsboro, Texas. He was in the Army Reserves for 6 years. Bill later worked as a sergeant for the Dallas Police Department until he retired in 1991. He then started working for the appraisal district until 2006. Bill loved to read, go for walks and go to the movies. He never met a stranger and always was warm and friendly. Bill was a member of the First Baptist Church for almost 40 years and also an active member in the diamond set and community bible study.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda; daughter, Lora Davis and husband, Tim; granddaughter, Kendal H Cobb.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents; son, Kenneth M Cobb and brother, Kenneth Cobb.
