Welton Ashmore

Funeral services for Welton Ashmore, 67, of Hopkins County , will be held at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel, at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 24, 2008. Interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park, with Van Proffitt, Michael Proffitt, Jim Ashmore, Ashley Ashmore, Jr. Vance Ashmore, Keith Monk, Chris Ashmore and Justin Ashmore serving as pallbearers . Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, May 23, 2008, at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.

Welton Ashmore passed away at Harris Methodist Hospital in Fort Worth, Wednesday afternoon, May 21, 2008. He was born in San Angelo , on May 10, 1941, the son of Welton Aubrey and Opal Lee Braden Ashmore. He graduated from Sunset High School in Oak Cliff, where he participated in the R.O.T.C. program. He married Elizaabeth Harris on June 19, 1961. He was a machinist for LTV and Murdock Machinery and Engineering. He was of the Methodist faith.

Survivors include: two sons, Jim Ashmore of Granbury and Ashley Ashmore, Jr. of Benbrook; sister, Carolyn Ann Proffitt of Midlothian and grandchildren, Christ Ashmore, Justin Ashmore, Kylie Hayworth, Bailey Ashmore and Tyler Jones.
