Wayne Simpson

Funeral services for Wayne Simpson, age 65, of Arlington, formerly of Sulphur Springs, will be held at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel, at 2:00 p.m., Friday, December 12, 2008, with Rev. Mark Gamber officiating. Interment will follow at Yantis Cemetery, with Jerry Wayne Simpson, A. G. Roper, Charles Ball, Harold Ball, Ned Ball, Johnny Stephnes, Tom Brown and Tony Moore serving as pallbearers. Billy Wayne Wilkes will be honorary pallbearer. Visitation will be held at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home, one hour prior to service time, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., Friday, December 12, 2008.
Wayne Simpson passed away Tuesday, December 9, 2008, at Fort Worth Kindred Hospital. He was born in Sulphur Springs, on December 8, 1943. He married Joan Morgan in Oklahoma, in 1992; she survives. Mr. Simpson was a member of the Assembly of God Church. He served in the National Guard.
Other survivors include: daughter, Christy Taylor of Arlington; son, Jason Simpson of Denver; sister, Shirley Simpson of Aledo; brother, Jerry Don Simpson of Sulphur Springs and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
