Wayne McCann

Funeral Service for Wayne McCann, age 72, of Sulphur Springs, will be held at 11 am, Tuesday October 2, 2018 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Chapel with Bro. Dustin Barrett officiating. Interment will follow at North Hopkins Cemetery with J.R. Reyes, Niko Sandoval, Frank Sandoval, Darren Smith, Bobby Brantley, Jr., and Marshall Green serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 p.m. Monday, October 1, 2018 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home. Mr. McCann passed away Friday, September 28, 2018 at his residence.

Wayne was born on November 7, 1945 in Paris, TX to John McCann and Mellie (Danner) McCann. He married Bertie Higgins on August 10, 1967. Wayne was a self-employed car delivery driver and a member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors include his wife, Bertie McCann, of Sulphur Springs; daughters, Christina McCann, of Sulphur Springs and Tena Granger and husband, Jesse, of Yantis; grandchildren, Macie Green and husband, Marshall, Bobby Brantley, Jr and wife, Britney.; great-grandchildren, Emmett Green, Emersyn Green, Madisen Brantley, Eli Brantley, and Liam Brantley; sister, Louise De Rosett; and sister-in-law, Linda Barrett Orsburn.

He was preceded in death by brothers, Taft McCann, P.A. Reves, J.C. McCann, and Leo Reyes, and Sister, Pauline Seller.
