Wayne Johnson

Graveside funeral services for Wayne Johnson, age 74, of Sulphur Springs, are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 29, 2008, at Richland Cemetery.

No formal visitation is planned.

Mr. Johnson passed away on Sunday, April 27, 2008, at Hopkins County Memorial Hospital. He was born in Mahoney, on February 10, 1934, the son of Authur and Winnie Ledbetter Johnson. He married Lucy Elizabeth Balton, in Sulphur Springs, on November 17, 1980. She preceded him in death in 1988.

Mr. Johnson was a yard man for Sulphur Springs City Cemetery and member of Central Baptist Church.

Survivors include: two sisters, Joann Engaron of Willis and Lois Hymel of Spring.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and three brothers, Odell, Aubury, and William Johnson.
