Violet Hunt

A graveside service for Violet Hunt, age 84, of Brashear, will be conducted at 2:00 p.m.,Monday, February 7, 2011, at Greenview Cemetery, with Dr. Jimmy Henry officiating. Visitation will be held one hour before service time (1:00 p.m.)at the Greenview Community Center.

Violet Hunt passed away Monday afternoon, January 31, 2011 at her residence. She was born in Desdemona, Texas on February 9, 1926, the daughter of Alvie Lee McAnally and Jewel (Crouch) McAnally. She was the retired owner of Midway Grocery and Gas and she was a member of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include: daughter, Katherine Weaver of Brashear; grandchildren, Billy Menge, LaDonna Holmes, Jennifer Holmes and Mike Holmes and eleven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one sister, Kate Davis and two brothers, Joe McAnally and Lee McAnally.
