Funeral services for Viola Starr of Sulphur Springs will be conducted at Our Savior Lutheran Church at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, April 5, 2012, with Rev. Vincent Larson, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park, with Mark Nimkoff, Justin Starr, Stephen Starr, Jason Back, Wesley Mayeux and Marc Starr serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Bob Thompson, Steven Clemments, Juan Gonzalez and Mike Polley. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
Viola Starr passed away Monday, April 02, 2012 at Sulphur Springs Health and Rehab. She was born in Hannibal. Missouri on October 7, 1917, the daughter of Daniel A. Lehenbauer and Emma L. (Frankenbach) Lehenbauer. She married Franklin Lee Starr in West Ely, Missouri on November 27, 1937. He preceded her in death in 1985. She was a homemaker and a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church.
Other survivors include: five sons, Rev. Frank Starr and wife, Ann, of Lufkin, Bennie Lee Starr and wife, Margaret, of Lindale, Marvin Starr of Tyler, Jerry Starr and wife, Jackie, of Sulphur Springs and Jim Starr and wife, Carol, of Greenville; grandchildren, Stella Childers, April Starr, Steve Starr, Wanda Crist, Trecia Back, Donna Jenkins, Tammy Polley, Marc Starr, Kelly Thompson, Elizabeth Starr and Justin Starr and numerous great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by daughter, Zelda Starr; two sisters, Fredia Feldkamp, and Lorena Boetcher; three brothers, Alfred Lehenbauer, Herbert Lehenbauer and Richard Lehenbauer and two grandsons, David Starr and Michael Ray Starr.
