Vernon Eugene “Gene” Ray, age 93, of Tyler, TX, passed away on Friday, December 27, 2019 at Reunion Plaza in Tyler.

Gene was born on October 22, 1926 in Winnsboro, TX to Forrest and Mae Francis Ray. He married Angeline Staton and worked as a carpenter.

He is survived by his wife, Angeline; children, Vernon Ray and wife, Lori, George Ray and wife, Tersia; grandchildren and great grandsons and daughters.
