Vance Wilson

Funeral services for Vance Wilson, age 72 of Sulphur Springs, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, February 26, 2016 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Eason officiating. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 27, 2016 at Lakeview Cemetery with Rev. Chris Fobbs officiating. Interment will follow with Jeff Box, Darrell Box, Tippy Aaron, Marlin Comer, Michael Comer, Kenny Comer, Hunter Stonaker and Justin Harrington serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Hobi Adams, Blake Adams, Cooper Adams, Justin Wyly, James Harrington, Dee Box, Cody Wilson and Joseph Wilson. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 25, 2016 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.

Vance passed away on Monday, February 22, 2016 at his residence. He was born on July 24, 1943 in Winters the son of Joe B. and Dorothy Ann (Gresham) Wilson. He served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam, owned and operated numerous businesses, retired from Dairy Farmers of America as a mechanic and was of the Church of Christ faith.

He is survived by one daughter, Tonya Wyly and husband, David of Sulphur Springs; two sons, Rickey Adams of Forney and Brian Adams and wife, RaDona of Tira; nine grandchildren, Amber Adams, Lindsay Wyly, Kara Adams, Brittany Wyly, Hobi Adams, Blake Adams, Cooper Adams, Justin Wyly and Emily Stonaker; two brothers, Gerald Wilson and wife, LouAnn of Merkel and Murray Joe Wilson and wife, Karen of Clyde.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Joe B. and Dorothy Ann Wilson
