Troy Martin

A funeral service for Rev. Troy Lee Martin, age 75, of Sulphur Springs, will be conducted at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 9, 2013, with Rev. Larry Jordan and Rev. John Horton officiating. Interment will follow at Nevills Chapel with his grandsons and sons-in-law serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
Rev. Troy Lee Martin passed away Sunday night, January 6, 2013, at The Cottages at Carriage House Manor in Sulphur Springs. He was born in Hope, Arkansas, August 16, 1937, the son of Seburn M. Martin and Lilly Marie (Jackson) Martin. He married Ruenell Patterson Horton in Sulphur Springs March 30, 1975; she survives. He was a retired pastor and a member of New Beginnings Fellowship Baptist Church.
Other survivors include: five sons, Troy M. Martin and wife, Vickie, of Scroggins, J. Mark Horton and wife, Eileen, of Little Elm, Michael T. Horton and wife, Gina, of Cooper, John W. Horton and wife, Jill, of Fredrick, Oklahoma and C. Paul Horton and wife, Cindy, of Sulphur Springs; three daughters, L. Michele Greenfield and husband, Eddie, of Belton, T. Melaina Ferrell and husband, Chad, of Dalhart and Pamela K. Sellers and husband, Tom, of Sulphur Springs; grandchildren, Nicholas Horton, John Harrell, Katy Sellers, Tom Horton, Tim Horton, Jacob Sellers, Tyler Horton, Jake Horton, Jason Horton, Reagan Greenfield, Channing Horton, Powers Greenfield, Jordan Ferrell, Caleb Ferrell, Brianna Horton, Lucas Horton and Zachary Ferrell and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and one grandchild. Memorials may be made to The American Heart Association and/or Legacy Hospice.
