Troy Chester

A funeral service for Troy Chester, 56, of Weaver, will be conducted at Weaver Baptist Churh at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, September 20, 2012, with Jimmy Goldsmith and Tom Friday officiating. Interment will follow at Weaver Cemetery, with Rick Garmon, Jeff Burkett, Jeff Fite, Joe David Minick, Matt Matlock and Kenny Minick serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Payton Matlock, Patrick Brown, David Mills, Jackie Mills, Dale Goldsmith, Jamie Goldsmith and Keith Johnson. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 19, 2012 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
Troy Chester passed away Monday evening, September 17, 2012 at Sulphur Springs Health and Rehab. He was born in Hopkins County, on August 3, 1956, the son of Eldon and Mary Shores Wisdom Chester. He was a farm equipment installer and he was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include: life-long companion, Ann Mills; son, Wesley Chester; stepsons, Jackie Mills, all of Sulphur Springs, Josh Meltabarger of Dallas, and David Mills of Martin Springs; stepdaughters, Teresa Minick, Tammy Matlock, both of Saltillo, Stormy Johnson and Dana Goldsmith, both of Sulphur Springs; brothers, Jerry Chester of Saltillo, Alan Chester of Weaver and William Shores of Cumby; sister, Betty Goldsmith of Sulphur Springs; father and stepmother, Eldon and Ruby Chester of Pine Forest; mother, Mary Shores of Saltillo and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
