Tony Vaughn

Funeral services for Tony K. Vaughn, age 58, of Mt. Vernon, will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 10, 2010, at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Darrell Tubb officiating. Interment will follow at Connor Cemetery, with Clay Daniel, Eric Bergeron, Joe Don Joslin, Tony Coffman and Max Pratt serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearer will be Luther Jack Petrea. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 9, 2010, at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
Tony K. Vaughn passed away Sunday afternoon, February 7, 2010 at East Texas Medical Center of Mt. Vernon. He was born in Sulphur Springs, on April 27, 1951, the son of Robert Kenneth Vaughn and Pearl (Eppars) Vaughn. Mr. Vaughn was a truck driver and he was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include: companion, Wanda Pratt of Mt. Vernon; mother, Pearl Vaughn of Dike, two sons, Tony K. Vaughn, Jr. of Dallas and Travis Vaughn of Mt. Pleasant; stepsons, Max Pratt of Silsbee, Walter Pratt of Splendora and Errick Pratt of Cleveland; daughter, Tracy Guthrie of Winnsboro, two sisters, Shyliea Williams and husband, Lee, of Murfreesboro, Arkansas and Cindy Daniel and husband, Steve, of Sulphur Springs; two brothers, Charles Vaughn and Kenneth "Blue" Vaughn, both of Dike and numerous grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father; nephew, Micheal Vaughn and niece, Misty Vaughn. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
