Funeral services for Tom Barnhill, age 84, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma , formerly of Hopkins County, will be conducted at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel, at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 21, 2012, with Dr. Sam Sevier and Fred McCoy officiating. Interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park, with Grant Alexander, Greg Barnhill, Brandon Barnhill, Daniel Barnhill, Joshua Barnhill, Todd Barnhill and Collin Alexander serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
Tom Barnhill passed away on Friday, March 16, 2012 at Norman Specialty Hospital in Norman Oklahoma. He was born in Converse, Louisiana on January 30, 1928, the son of Gordon Francis Barnhill and Verdie Lee (Price) Barnhill. He married Mary V. Collum in Oak Grove, Louisiana on September 28, 1946; she survives. He was a retired crew foreman for Bob's Casey Crew Oil Field Service Firm and a member of Church of Christ.
Other survivors include: two sons, Larry Wayne Barnhill and wife, Brenda, of Oklahoma City and Jerry Dale Barnhill and wife, Sharon, of Longville, Louisiana; two brothers, Ronnie Barnhill of Monroe, Louisiana and Phillip Ray Barnhill of Waco; two sisters, Mary Alice Folds of Delhi, Louisiana and Frances Barnhill of Monroe, Louisiana; grandchildren, Greg Barnhill, Shelly Capps, Todd Barnhill, Jennifer Martinez, Daniel Barnhill, Brandon Barnhill, Sarah Littleton, Joshua Barnhill, Grant Alexander and Collin Alexander and 15 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by daughter, Tina Alexander, five brothers and three sisters.
