Tina Marie Sager was born in Weatherford, TX on the 18th day of January 1960. Tina was a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and worked at Sunny Springs Nursing & Rehab Center in Sulphur Springs since March, 2014. She became a vital part of the Sunny Springs family serving as the Housekeeping Supervisor.
Tina walked her path and allowed others to walk beside her. She only asked of others what she asked of herself. Tina took in any and everyone that had no other. She cared for others and was always there without question. Some may have thought Tina was harsh & loud, but she was strong and loving. When she felt passionate about you or something she would protect and defend without question to the end.
Tina’s journey brought her to Sulphur Springs where she found a place and people she called home and family, it filled her with joy and happiness. This path led her to a job that wasn’t just a job, it became her world. She loved what she did and the people she served and provided for.
Tina loved Winter and her favorite holiday was Halloween with Purple being her favorite color. She enjoyed cooking (which he got from our granny) and she enjoyed crafting and crocheting.

Stories from her co-workers
Since March, 2014, Tina has been a vital part of Sunny Springs Nursing and Rehab serving as the Housekeeping Supervisor. Tina Marie, as she was known by all, was an incredible Department Head of the building and everyone was going to take care of “her girls” and she did. It was well known throughout the building that if you upset one of her employees, Momma Tina was coming soon to defend her crew. To work with Tina was to work with someone always willing to help anyone that needed it, to ensure that there were going to be numerous laughs preparing for an event, and that Tina was going to the Christmas party if there was shrimp on the menu. If you needed Tina for anything there was a good chance that she was forcing Mary or Cox to go along with her screaming Shane’s name down the hallway to get up and come help. And if she needed to vent, Kristina was always her go-to person. There are no words to express the pain and emptiness that losing Tina has caused her team or her “other family” as we proudly called each other.
Tina made sure to let it be known that if you came to work for a paycheck, you were in the wrong field. She was an incredible advocate for the residents of Sunny Springs and worked to make sure everything that was done for them with wearing funny outfits to make their day brighter or dancing without a care in the world when Elvis (Rodney her brother) entered the building, or just taking time to make sure someone’s favorite blanket was found in the laundry for the third time that week, we all knew who Tina was really there for. She always made sure to say that, if it wasn’t for the residents, there was no reason for us to be there.
Life will not feel the same, but I know she will always be beside us. We will always feel her and hear her in our hearts. Always and Forever.
