Thomas Teer

Funeral services for Thomas Max Teer, age 69. of Mt. Vernon, formerly of Greenpond, will be held at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel, at 2:00 p.m., Friday, May 30, 2008 with Brother Pete Hollingsworth, Dale Ruggles and Richard Teer officiating. Interment will follow at Black Oak Cemetery with Eric Vinson, B. J. Teer, Valton Teer, Allan Teer , Mike Teer, Tommy Baugh, Kenny Cashion, Tommy Calverly, Jr. and Jason Frasher serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, May 29, 2008 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.

Thomas Max Teer passed away at his residence, Monday, May 26, 2008. He was born in Hopkins County , on July 16, 1938, the son of Joe Bailey and Gladis Ivo Stinson Teer. He married Ruby Pearl Yarbrough, in Durant , Oklahoma , on May 4, 1958; she survives. Mr. Teer was a retired concrete dispatcher and a member of the Calvary Baptist Temple in Mt. Vernon . He served in the United States Navy.

Other survivors include: two sons, James Max Teer of Sulphur Springs and Carl Bailey Teer of Seven Points; three brothers, Richard Teer of Como, Danny Teer of New Hope and Ricky Teer of Clarksville; three sisters, Fredia Beezley of Como, Elaine Cashion of Ennis and Peggy Pullen of Sulphur Springs and three grandchildren, Allan James Teer, Justin Glenn Teer and Makayla Marie Teer. He was preceded in death by his parents.
