Funeral services for Tom Coleman, age 59, of Sulphur Springs will be conducted at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel, at 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 29, 2010, with Rev. Phil Greenwalt officiating. Interment will follow at the Sherley Cemetery , with Ryan Holt, Adam Coleman, Jerry Coleman, Brian Coleman, Jeffery Coleman, Billy Campbell, Joe Lee Johnson and David Taylor serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Steven Gonzalez, Calvin Coleman and Aaron Gonzalez. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
Tom Coleman passed away Monday, January 25, 2010 at Hospice Homeplace in Tyler . He was born in Sulphur Springs on September 2, 1950, the son of Ardis Coleman and Virgie Leola (Haney) Coleman. Mr. Coleman was a retired truck driver from Ballard Trucking and he was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include: two daughters, Tonya Gonzalez of Pittsburg, and Teresa Jester of Sulphur Springs; son, Lawrence Coleman of Winnsboro; two brothers, Donnie Coleman and Larry Coleman, both of Sulphur Springs; two sisters, Mamie Daughtery of Gilmer and Rachael Bassham of Sulphur Springs and grandchildren, Andy Cockrum, Steven Gonzalez, Calvin Coleman, Aaron Gonzalez, Crystal Gonzalez, Paulina Coleman, Giovanni Coleman, Michael McCarthy, Thomas Coleman, Bella Coleman, Lawrence Coleman, Elizabeth Coleman, Stacey Coleman, Brent Coleman and Patrick Coleman. He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers.
