Thelma McPherson

Graveside funeral service for Thelma Jane McPherson, age 98 of Canton will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at Mt. Sterling Cemetery with Rev. Joe Perkins officiating. There will be no formal visitation.

Thelma Jane passed away on Saturday, October 24, 2015 at her residence. She was born in Murphyboro, Arkansas on October 23, 1917, the daughter of Oliver Frank & Elsie Mae (Club) Horton. She was a homemaker and a member of the Pleasant Haven Baptist Church.

Survivors include her daughters, Ann Owens of Canton and Susie Strange of Eustace; son, Bobby McPherson and wife, Dorothy of Scurry; daughter-in-law, Darlene McPherson of Red Oak; six grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by parents.
