Shirley Knight

Funeral services for Shirley Knight, age 58 of Sulphur Springs, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home, with Bro. Larry Maynard officiating. Interment will follow at Dougherty Cemetery with Kevin Plunkett, Jimmy Ray Gibson, Tommy Kimmel, Aaron Potts, Jonathan Wright and Mike Bishop serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December29, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.

Shirley passed away on Saturday, December 26, 2015 at Trinity Mother Frances Hospital in Tyler. She was born on August 25, 1957 in Dallas, the daughter of Marvin Ray and Shirley Aline (Jackson) Hector. She married Jerry Knight on November 19, 1982 in Rockwall. Shirley was a home health provider and a member of the Chapel Hill Baptist Church in Emory.

Along with her husband, she is survived by her son, Kevin Plunkett of Sulphur Springs; daughters Kristi Knight and Julie Knight, both of Sulphur Springs; three grandchildren, Chris Plunkett, Shawn Aubrey Dennis and Grayson Routh; brother, Bill Crede of West Tawakoni; sisters, Kay Folmar of Sherman, Brenda Gibson of Santa Fe and Rhonda Kimmel of Sulphur Springs.

She is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Jerry Don Amos.
