Sarah Smith

Graveside service for Sarah Smith, age 91, of Sulphur Springs will be held at 4:00 P.M. on Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at Shooks Chapel Cemetery with Paul Bailey officiating and Tommy Hall assisting. There will be no formal visitation. Mrs. Smith passed away Monday, July 3, 2017, at Rock Creek Health and Rehab in Sulphur Springs.

Sarah Catherine (Cantrell) Smith was born on October 23, 1925, the daughter of William “Grover” and Bess Ann (McElroy) Cantrell in Sherman Texas. She married Robert Earl Smith. She was a member of Birthright United Methodist Church and was homemaker.

She is survived by her daughter, Eileen Malone and husband Delane of Sulphur Springs and son, Bert Smith and wife, Elaine of Austin, Texas; grandchildren, Shawn, Amanda, Heather, Brennon and Alyssa; 8 great grandchildren.

Sarah was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a brother and sister.
