Sammie Greathouse

Sammie Charles Greathouse, 68, of Sulphur Springs died Friday, April 4, 2014 in Tyler.

He was born September 3, 1945 in Eddy, the son of Calvin Greathouse and Elsie Clifton Greathouse. He married Carol Pintler October 16, 1970, in Dallas; she survives. He was a truck driver and a member of the Baptist faith. He served in the United States Army Reserves.

Other survivors include daughter, Amy Greathouse Stephens and husband, David, of Fort Worth; son, Patrick Cody Greathouse of Sulphur Springs; brother, Rex Greathouse of Lorena and sister, Daisy Powers of Carrolton.

He was also preceded in death by his parents; son, Scott Brandon Greathouse and sisters, Inez Terrell and Betty Donaldson.
