Sallie Watson

Funeral services for Sallie Tubb Watson, age 78 of Dike will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 22, 2016 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home with Noel Bailey officiating. Interment will follow at Connor Cemetery with Brian Clem, Dustin Clem, Jason Horton, Billy Horton, Tony Horton and Chase Freeman serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearer is Robert Henry. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, April 21, 2016 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.

Sallie passed away on Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at her residence. She was born on January 24, 1938 in Sulphur Springs, the daughter of George Lee and Georgia Bernice (Ferguson) Ballard. She married Alton Ray Tubb, who preceded her in death in 2007. She then married Don Watson, in 2015. She was a Med-Aid at Sulphur Springs Nursing Home for 40 years and a member of Dike Church of Christ.

She is survived by her husband; sons, Morris Tanton, and wife Debra of Oktaha, OK, and Tim Clem, and Wife Beth of Cumby; daughters, Diane Higgins of Sulphur Springs, and Nan Brinkmeyer, and husband Danny, of Wills Point; grandchildren, Jason Jones, Jennifer Zardenta, Lori Rasco, Taylor Freeman, Brian and Dustin Clem, Billy, Tony and Jason Horton, Melissa Henry, Jay and Jacob Brinkmeyer, and Austin and Taylor Douglas; great-grandchildren, Jade, Brooklyn, Isaiah, Braden, Cameron, Kendall, Saegan, Brightyn, Kelsey, Kylie, Adien, Anthony, Ethan, Zoie and Isaac.

She was preceded in death by her husband Alton, two brothers, Jasper and Roy Ballard; and two grandsons, Derrick and Jarrod Tanton.
