Funeral services for Ruth Mae Fouse, age 92, of Sulphur Springs, are scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Monday, April 7, 2008, at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Casey Perry will officiate.
Interment will follow services in the Cumby Cemetery, with Darrell Vick, Jimmy Don Fouse, Gary Vick, Nathan Sugg, Glynn Sugg, Shane Vick, Kenneth Greer, David Worthey, and Cody Vick serving as pallbearers.
Visitation will be from 6:00 t0 8:00 p.m., Sunday, April 6, 2008, at the funeral home.
Mrs. Fouse passed away on Friday, April 4, 2008, at Carriage House Manor Nursing Home. She was born on March 7, 1916, in Oklahoma, the daughter of Meritt Ivory and Hattie Gill Sires. She married R.E. Fouse, in Cumby, in 1938. He preceded her in death on September 3, 1964.
Mrs. Fouse was a nursing aid and member of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include: two sons, Sammy Douglas Fouse, and Marty Fouse, both of Sulphur Springs; two daughters, Thelma Gibbs of Arlington, and Sue Perry of Waco; one brother and sister-in-law, Ed and Patsy Sires, of Sulphur Springs; grandchildren, Ricky Vick, David Vick, Sherrie Henderson, Darrell Vick, Tanya Greer, Tony Fouse, Robert Fouse, Samantha Bufford, Timothy Fouse, Larry Don Fouse, Diane Fouse, Cammie Brown, Casey Fouse, Stacie Perry, Tina Worthey, Jimmy Don Fouse, Lavonda Loncarich, Michelle Perry, and Jody Perry; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Larry Fouse and R.E. Fouse, Jr.; and one grandchild, Gary Wayne Vick.
The family of Mrs. Fouse wishes to thank Ms. Dimple McPhearson for all of her love and care devoted to their mother and grandmother. Also, thanks are extended to the nursing staff at Carriage House Manor and Hospice at Memorial, for their devotion and care.
