Funeral services for Ruby Pearl Teer, age 69, of Sulphur Springs, will be held at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel, at 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 16, 2009, with Rev. Kenny Cashion officiating. Interment will follow at Black Oak Cemetery, with Leland Calverley, Tommy Calverley, Jr., Ronnie Davenport, Eric Vinson, Allan Teer, Justin Teer, Keith Turner and Jason Frashier serving as pallbearers. Makayla Teer will serve as honorary pallbearer. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, January 15, 2009, at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
Ruby Pearl Teer passed away Monday evening, January 12, 2009, in Whispering Pine Nursing Home. She was born in Floydada, on September 30, 1938, the daughter of Carl Rufus and Mattie Duff Jolly Yarbrough. She married Max Teer, at Hugo, Oklahoma, on May 4, 1958. He preceded her in death in 2008. Mrs. Teer was an L.V.N. and a member of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include: two sons, James Max Teer of Sulphur Springs, Carl Bailey Teer of Seven Point; brother, Buddy Yarbrough of Como; four sisters, Trula Davenport of Emory, Bessie Calverley of Wills Point, Doris Kirkland of Shamrock, Ruth Katherine (Sissie) Love of Terrell and grandchildren, Allan Teer, Justin Teer and Makayla Teer. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Patsy Witworth and Stella Kirkland. Memorials may be made to Black Oak Cemetery Association.
