After leaving the Navy he joined the AirForce, during which time they had 2 more children while living in Suffolk, England. Upon retirement from the military, he then went to work for the Federal Aviation Administration as an Electronics Technician, and retired in 1999. Upon retirement, he returned to his hometown of Sulphur Springs, where he has been a faithful member of the League Street Church of Christ, and has volunteered at the Hopkins County Genealogy Library.

Roy will be greatly missed by ALL who knew him….he was a compassionate, funny, humble, forgiving, generous, smart, faithful, and loving Christian man…..a father, brother, grandfather and friend, he always tried to find the good in everyone.
