Funeral services for Rosie Coker, age 83, of Sulphur Springs will be conducted at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel, at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, March 17, 2012, with Rev. Fred Lewis officiating. Interment will follow at Yantis Cemetery, with Dusty Coker, Josh Chenault, Eric Chenault, Tony Giles, Nathan Bearden, Chad Joslin, Larry Don Holland and Junior Holland serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, March 16, 2012 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
Rosie Coker passed away Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at her residence. She was born in Sulphur Springs, September 18, 1928, the daughter of Elis Clayton and Edna (Altom) Clayton. She married L. D. Coker in Sulphur Springs, January 10, 1951. He preceded her in death in 1998. She was retired from Grocery Supply and a member of North Liberty Baptist Church.
Survivors include: son, Gary Coker of Dike; two daughter s Janet Adams and Robert Henson of Tira and Shirley Chenault and husband, Joe, of Royse City; two brothers, William "Tobby" Clayton and Eddie Clayton, both of Sulphur Springs; grandchildren, Dusty Coker, Brandy Coker, Tony Giles, Jana Ray, Nathan Bearden, Joshua Chenault, Eric Chenault and Jason Coker and great-grandchildren, Graham and Darci Chenault, Ty Giles, Aubrey Giles, Sidney Boles, Caden Ray, Kylie Ray, Paige Bearden, Kayden Coker, Lexi Ozuna and Cali Gayton. She was also preceded in death by son, Keith Coker; brother, Howard Clayton and two sisters, Margaret Fennell and Mary Lou Fite. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society and/or Hopkins County Veterans' Memorial.
