Private Services for Rodney McKelroy, age 92 of Sulphur Springs, will be held at a later date.

Rodney passed away on Thursday, December 17, 2015 at Hopkins County Memorial Hospital.

He was born on September 14, 1923, the son of Roy Ruell and Alice Lavenia (Smith) McKelroy in Lott. He married Geraldine Sneed on December 29, 1945. He was a retired maintenance planner for a chemical company.

Survivors include his sons, William Girard McKelroy of San Marcos and Rodney Gene McKelroy of Sulphur Springs.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Geraldine; two brothers and two sisters.
