Memorial services for Robin Groves Gill, 46, of Pickton will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 30, at Weaver Baptist Church.

There will be no visitation. Her grave marker stands at Pine Forest Cemetery. She chose to be cremated, and her ashes will be scattered on her land.

Robin Groves Gill died Thursday, Dec. 25, at her residence.

She was born May 11, 1962, in Grand Prairie.

Robin was an extraordinarily caring person. She cared deeply for her friends, family and pets. She had the heart of an angel. She loved animals and rescued them from all over and raised them as her pets. She appreciated the simple things in life like nature, animals, insects, and birds. She had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh and see the lighter side of things. She loved God and was a member at Weaver Baptist Church. She was loved dearly and will be missed by all those who knew her.

Survivors include her mother, Fay Nell Groves of Grand Prairie; and two sisters, Sheryl Hearne of Graford and Carol Goodson of Arlington. Other survivors include her brothers-in-law, Charles Hearne and Bill Goodson; her nieces and nephews, Tammy Maxey of Murphy, Dana Kemp of Wichita, Kan., Adrianne Goodson of Arlington, Matthew Goodson of Arlington, and Wendy Goodson of Pullman, Wash; her great nieces and nephews, Ethan Maxey, Sophie Kemp, John Kemp, and Molly Maxey; and her long-term companion, Ricky Payne.

She was preceded in death by her father, Ray Groves, and her grandparents, Hurley and Alice Bradford Richey and John and Delia Alberts Groves. She was also preceded in death by her niece Gloria Hearne and her great-niece Emma Maxey.

The family requests no flowers.
