Robert Scott

Funeral services for Robert E. Scott, age 82, of Sulphur Springs, will be conducted at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel, at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, February 18, 2010, with Rev. Michael Coker officiating. Interment will follow in the Yantis Cemetery with Mr. Scott's grandsons and great-grandsons serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 17, 2010 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
Robert Earl Scott passed away Sunday, February 14, 2010 at Carriage House Manor. He was born January 28, 1928, the son of Rufus P. Scott and Cassie Sallie (Beall) Scott. He married Betty Mae Wilson in Emory, on February 7, 1948. She preceded him in death in 2007.
Mr. Scott was retired from the construction industry and was of the Baptist faith. He served in the United States Air Force.
Survivors include: two sons, Ronny Earl Scott of Spring and Randall Wayne Scott of Houston; daughter, Dennie Ruth Scott Lamar of Vidor; grandchildren, Lucretia Wasson, Mona Lisa Norton, Robert J. Turner, Madelene Brock, Lettie Elliott, Ronnie Earl Scott, Jr., Robert Dewayne Scott, Tony Scott, Craig Scott, James Stone, Donald Stone, Brandon Stone, Sonny Scott and Don Endman; 30 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sisters, one brother, one grandson and one great-great-grandson.
