Robert Reed

Graveside service, with military honors for Robert Leonard Reed, age 83, of Sulphur Springs, TX will be held at 3:30 P.M. on Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at Black Oak Cemetery with Rev. B.J. Teer officiating. Visitation will be held from 2 to 3 P.M. at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 24, 2018. Mr. Reed passed away on Saturday, April 21, 2018, in Sulphur Springs, TX.

Robert Leonard was born in Tennessee on October 22, 1934 to William and Effie Reed. He married Donna Kay Sparkman in Lubbock, Texas in September of 1961, she preceded him in death in 2009. Robert served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a retired truck driver and of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by his children, Gwen Webb and husband, Jim of Sulphur Springs, Robin Joslin and husband, Jimmy of Cumby, Catina Shirley and husband Ray of Lindale; grandchildren, Justin Peek, Andrew Robinson, Summer Ball, Shealey Wells, Zachary Shirley, Brandon Shirley; great grandchildren, Raidyn Peek, Bransyn Robinson, Sara White.

Robert was preceded in death by parents, wife and son, Greg Reed.
