Robert Porter

Private funeral service for Robert Porter, age 88, of Sulphur Springs, TX will be held at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Edgar Clements, Pastor Gary Griffin and Pastor Concepcion Diaz officiating. Interment will follow at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday and Tuesday April 20th and 21st of 2020 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel from 8:00 A.M. to 4:30 P.M. Mr. Porter passed away on Saturday, April 18, 2020 at his residence in Sulphur Springs, TX.

Robert was born on March 17, 1932 in Chattanooga, OK to Harry Matthew and Hassel Mae Porter. He married Bille Dean Flanary on May 31, 1953 for 66 devoted years. Father, grandfather, friend and pastor to many devoted Christians, who demonstrated the love of God. Robert was a U.S. Air Force Veteran.

He is survived by his sons, Robert D. Porter and wife, Becky, Richard D Porter and wife, Debi, Randy D Porter and wife, Maier; daughters, Debra Porter Cross and Teresa Porter Townsend and husband, Stanley; 21 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; 3 sisters; and 1 brother;

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, 4 brothers and 3 sisters.
