Robert Calvery

On Friday, May 29, 2009, Robert Dewayne Calvery was enfolded into the arms of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He was born in this world, on January 8, 1958, in Bay Town, Texas, to Katie and Charles Calvary. Robert was baptized in the Church of Christ in Midland, Texas. He graduated from Farmington, High School, in Farmington, New Mexico, New Mexico State University San Juan, in Farmington, New Mexico, Eastville College in Mesquite, Texas and Texas A & M in Commerce, Texas. He was a high school teacher.
He married Elizabeth Lester Davis on August 31, 1986; she survives. Other survivors include: mother, Katie Calvery of Farmington, New Mexico; brother, Russell and wife, Lori, of Milpita, California; stepson, Michael A. Davis of Boise, Idaho; uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews and his beloved cats.
He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Calvery; stepson, Steven Davis; grandparents, Fawnie and Margie Calvery and W. D. And Cora Polvadore.
Robert was an excellent photographer and he will be missed at all family occasions.
Robert was a loving husband, son, brother, uncle and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved his gentle ways and beautiful smile. He will live in our hearts and he will continue to share our holidays and special occasions.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday, June 5, 2009, at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home in Sulphur Springs, Texas. Interment will follow at Old Tarrant Cemetery in Sulphur Springs, Texas. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Friday, June 5, 2009, at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
