Ricky Gibson

Funeral services for Ricky Jo Gibson, age 34, of Commerce, formerly of Sulphur Springs, will be held at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel, at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, May 17, 2008, with Brother Don Tinsley officiating. Interment will follow at Gafford Chapel Cemetery , with Casper Cunningham, Bill Mack, Donnie Walker, Darrell Attaway, Frankie Walker, Robert Grubbs, Jay Hammond, Jerrod Hammond, Johnny Walker, Frank Pennington and Willie Sanchez serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Hopkins County Sheriff?s Posse. Visitation will be one hour before the service.

Ricky Jo Gibson passed away Wednesday, May 14, 2008, in Baird, Texas . He was born in Mt. Vernon , on November 20, 1973, the son of Gary Lynn and Jo-Ann Adele Hammond Gibson. He married Cheryl Walker in Sulphur Springs, on

June 7, 2003; she survives. Mr. Gibson was a truck driver and a former member of Hopkins County Sheriff?s Posse. He was a member of Central Baptist Church .

Other survivors include: three sons, Gary Lane Gibson, Dakota Walker and Calvin Canaga, all of Commerce; mother, JoAnn Gibson of Sulphur Springs; father, Ricky Glynn Hilburn of Marion, Arkansas and two sisters, Nina Masters of Sulphur Springs and Nicky Lynn Hilburn of Dallas. He was preceded in death by his father, Gary Lynn Gibson and grandparents, John and Mary Hammond, William and Madree Gibson and Mary Nell Hilburn.
