Raymond Davidson

Funeral services for Raymond Davidson, age 79, of Seagoville, formerly of Cumby, will be held at First Baptist Church of Seagoville, at 12:00 p.m. (Noon), Wednesday, December 24, 2008, with Rev. A. M. Erwin officiating. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 24, 2008, at Cooper Creek in Denton, with Martin Gerlets, William Wilson, Chris Calhoun, Aaron Goodwin, John Goodwin, Brandon Davidson and Bruce Goodwin serving as pallbearers. Gary Tidwell will serve as honorary pallbearer. There will be no formal visitation.
Raymond Davidson passed away Monday morning, December 22, 2008, at Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas. He was born in Aubrey, on May 11, 1929, the son of Otis and Lula Maude Green Davidson. He married Patsy Jean Paris in Dallas, on December 10, 1986; she survives. Mr. Davidson was retired from Ford Motor Company. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Seagoville and the Lions' Club in Seagoville.
Other survivors include: three sons, Charles Virgil Davidson, Don Goodwin, both of Seagoville, Mike Goodwin of Copperas Cove; daughter, Lena Curtis of Balch Springs; two sisters, Juanita Erwin of Weatherford and Wanda Monk of Denton; ten grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters and two children.
