Ralph Strain

Services for Ralph E. Strain, age 72, of Sulphur Springs, will be held at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home, at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 18, 2008. Interment will follow at Peerless Cemetery, with Stanley McQueen, Tommy McQueen, Eddie McQueen, Billy McQueen, Colby Strain, Dusty McQueen and Colton Strain serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 17, 2008, at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
Ralph E. Strain passed away at Sulphur Springs Health & Rehab., Saturday evening, June 14, 2008. He was born on August 9, 1935. He married Opal Arnold in Sulphur Springs, on February 14, 2001; she survives. Mr. Strain was retired from the City of Sulphur Springs and a member of New Beginnings Fellowship Church. He served in the United States Army.
Other survivors include: four sons, Edward Strain, Michael Strain, both of Connecticut, Ronnie Strain of Detroit, Michigan and David Strain of Sulphur Springs; daughter, Patti Jordan of Florida; brothers, George Strain of Arizona, Alan Strain of Sulphur Springs, Jeffrey Strain and Gary Strain, both of Connecticut; two sisters, Mary Lou Fryer of Sulphur Springs and Rosemarie of Massachusetts; four step-sons, Stanley McQueen, Tommy McQueen, Eddie McQueen and Billy McQueen, all of Sulphur Springs; step-daughter, Alice Ann Davidson of Sulphur Springs; brother, Gary Strain; several grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Walter Strain and Michael Strain.
