Phillip McGarity

A funeral service for Phillip McGarity, age 45, of Sulphur Springs will be conducted at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, November 7, 2013, with Rev. C. J. Duffey and Michael Mars officiating. Interment will follow at Rosemound Cemetery in Commerce, with Jonas Helm, Rusty Evans, Randy West, Jason Forbes, Mike Simmons, Steve Dodd and Dustin Burns serving as pallbearers . Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
Phillip McGarity passed away at his residence Monday morning, November 4, 2013. He was born in Springfield, Missouri, November 13, 1967, the son of John Franklin McGarity and Virginia Sue (Wagner) McGarity. He was the owner of McGarity Heating & Air and he was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include: mother, Sue Taylor and husband Jack; son, Heston McGarity, all of Sulphur Springs; two daughters, Peyton Ann McGarity of Belton and Savannah Nicole Williams of San Angelo; three sisters, Jo Ann Sheaffer and husband Bill of Round Rock, Theresa Melton and husband Randy of Dike and Susan Kay Burns of Sulphur Springs; three brothers, Jeffrey Ben McGarity of Cumby and John McGarity and Michael McGarity, both of Springfield, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his father; grandparents, Joyce Malone and Ted Wagner , stepmother, Jeanette McGarity and his first wife, Lisa Horton McGarity.
