Penny Wood

Funeral services for Penny Darlene Wood will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, June 26, 2009, at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Greenview Cemetery, with Jace Wood, Rodney Lennon, Brian Lennon, Terry Yates, Brandon Bell, Danner Duncan, Cody Cox and Ross McCauley serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 25, 2009, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
Penny Darlene Wood went home to be with her Lord on Tuesday, June 23, 2009. Penny was born to Doyle and Margaret Melton Wood on March 5, 1960, in Greenville, Texas. She was a member of Martin Springs Baptist Church.
She is survived by her parents; son, David Duncan and special friend, Candice Lively; brother, Mike Wood and wife, Kelly; nephew and niece, Jace and Jillian Wood; aunts, Dahlia Dicken, Barbara Lennon and husband, Clinton, Patsy Yates, Mary Logan and husband, Bill; cousins, Shirley McPeak, Rodney Lennon, Brian Lennon, Terry Yates, Tory Logan, Clint Logan and Kathy Woods. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Aubrey and Odena Melton, Burl and Blanche Wood; uncles, William "Carroll" Wood, Odell Yates and Dewy Dickens.
Penny loved her family very much and her sweet spirit will be forever missed.
