Graveside service for Peggy Stephens, age 83, of Yantis will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at Yantis Cemetery with Delbert Dean and Don Spencer officiating and Benjamin Dean, Joseph Dean, Adam Dean, Seth Hatlestead, Brian Clamon, Christopher Spencer, and Andy McKinney serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held from 9:00 to 10:30 A.M. on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home. Mrs. Stephens passed away on Monday, November 19, 2018 at Legends Healthcare, Greenville.
Peggy Lou Stephens was born on October 10, 1935 in Poteau, OK to Thomas and Corrie Sewell. She married Joe Stephens on June 9, 1954 in Hereford, TX. Peggy was owner/operator of Peggy Stephens Bookkeeping and Tax Service. She was a member of First Baptist Church – Yantis, Yantis Volunteer Fire Department and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
She is survived by her daughters, Cheryl Lynn Dean and husband, Delbert of Boyle, MS, Tonya Spencer of Greenville; grandchildren, Seth Hatlestead, Treva Spencer, Don Spencer, Tristan Clamon, Benjamin Dean, Joseph Dean, Angela Bryant, Adam Dean, Lauren McKinney; great grandchildren, Timothy Reeser, Jackson Hatlestead, Christopher Spencer, Lynzie Spencer, Karsyn Spencer, Jordan Clamon, Evan Clamon, Samuel Dean, Isaac Dean, Lyra Dean, Jonah Dean, Miriam Dean, Hannah Dean, Seth Dean, Madelyn Bryant, Landon Bryant, Addyson Bryant, Anna Kate Bryant, Easton Dean, Brooks Dean.
Peggy was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joe and sister, Margie Scott.
