Funeral services for Paul Glynn Lowe, age 42, of Sulphur Springs, are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 22, in League Street Church of Christ. Keith Kilmer and Patrick Cannon will officiate.
Graveside services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, at The Land of Memory, in Palestine, Texas. Serving as pallbearers will be Andy Owens, Joey Coker, David Rolf, Jason Darrow, Steve Wade, Junior Cox, and Hardy Brunette.
Visitation will be from 6:00 t0 8:00 p.m., Monday, April 21, 2008, at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
Mr. Lowe passed away on Saturday afternoon, April 19, 2008, at his residence. He was born in Paris, Texas, on September 22, 1965, the son of C. Glynn and Frances Yancey Lowe.
He held a Bachelors of science degree in Plant and Animal Science/Agricultural Business, from East Texas State University (A&M Commerce), that he obtained in 1992. During his years in New Boston, Tx, he was the owner of Lowe's Landscape Company, since 1983. He held the position of vice-president/branch manager of Savings and Loan in Mt. Pleasant and Texarkan. He was a member of the advisory committe for Titus County Industrial Board, planner of Bowie County Enterprise Zones; a member of the New Boston Industrial Development Committee. He was a member of the Local Redevelopment Authority regarding the Red River Amy Depot closure. He held classes at Paris Junior College and Northeast Texas Community College in Landscape Design. He was a director of the New Boston Chamber of Commerce, the Bowie County Industrial Council, and the Texarkana Home Builders Association. He was a board member of Camp Deer Run Christian Camp. He had been vice president of New Boston Kiwanis Club and he was a member of League Street Church of Christ, in Sulphur Springs.
Survivors include: his parents, Glynn and Frances Lowe of Sulphur Springs; a brother, Mark Lowe and wife Robyn of Frisco; a sister, Sharon Hammond and husband David, of Tyler; and nieces, Laura, Lindsay, and Elizabeth Lowe of Frisco and Sydneyand Bailey Hammond, of Tyler.
A special memorial fund is being planned in memory of Paul Glynn Lowe. Contributions may be made to Camp Deer Run Christian Camp, 1227 County Road 4590, Winnsboro, Texas 75494.
