Patricia Holt

A memorial service for Patricia (Pat) Holt will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, November 25, 2013 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. B.J. Teer officiating. No formal visitation is scheduled.
Patricia Holt was born on April 7, 1937 in San Francisco to Michael Patrick and Lucille O'Conner. She passed away after a brief illness in Sulphur Springs on November 23, 2013. She was a loving mother and grandmother (MeMe) to her daughters, Lynn Swann of Sulphur Springs, Loretta Poston and husband Larry of Parker, and Janell Fleming of Plano.
She is also survived by her much adored granddaughters, Lauren Fleming of Chicago and Jaci Poston of Lewisville; two brothers, Bill Avery of Reno, NV and Jon Avery of Catalina, CA; sister-in-law Cindi Avery of Houston; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Vada Avery, brother, Wayne Avery, and her loving companion, Bobby Pendergrass.
Mrs. Holt had a lifelong passion for education and the arts, receiving her Masters of Liberal Arts degree from Dallas Baptist University at the age of 65.
Along with a passion for the arts, she was an active advocate for animals and loved her feline champions, Winnie and Trey.
