Oma Talley

A funeral service for Oma Lou Talley, age 99, of Mineola, formerly of Sulphur Springs, will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 16, 2013, at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel, with Brother Tommy Hall and Brother Andy Comer officiating. Interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park, with Jerry Tinney, Mitchell Tinney, Gerald Heard and Gene Clark serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, November 15, 2013 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
Oma Lou Talley passed away Monday evening, November 11, 2013 at Wood Memorial Nursing Home in Mineola. She was born in Reilly Springs on March 30, 1914, the daughter of Claude Stunkard and Fannie (Mitchell) Stunkard. She married L. H. "Shorty" Talley in Hopkins County on October 1, 1932. He preceded her in death in 1985. She was a homemaker and a member of Davis Street Baptist Church.
Survivors include: daughter, Linda Scarborough of Alba; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents and one infant brother. Memorials may be made to Children's Miracle Network.
