OLGA HEARN RADNEY
March 27, 1941 – July 25, 2024

 Your Hug Meant the World
Nobody else held me so tight
Or made me feel so right
No one's eyes shined so bright with love
As my mom, who is now high above.
- Tamsen Butler

Olga “Granny” Radney was born in Pickton, Texas on March 27, 1941 to James Elijah and Lillie Mae Hearn. She entered Heaven’s gates on July 25, 2024.

She was a loving mother and grandmother and was a “Mom” to everyone she met. She loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and she was a true Jesus Follower. She modeled His love and she modeled the “Fruits of the Spirit”, love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control in her life.

Granny was a remarkable cook and enjoyed preparing meals for her family and friends, most especially over the holidays. Everyone loved those pies she made. She loved to watch cooking tutorials and the cooking channels during her spare time. She loved her flowers, working in her garden and watching birds, especially the hummingbirds. She was a dedicated sports fan when it came to her kids, grandkids and great-grand kids. She attended many football, baseball, softball and basketball games throughout her life. She loved spending time with family and having family gatherings above everything else and she gave out the best hugs.

Early in her life she worked in a sewing factory in Winnsboro, Texas and worked as a deli & bakery manager for Kroger’s and Walmart later in life. She was a professional cake decorator and loved making cakes for all occasions, especially for her family. She made the wedding cakes for all her children’s weddings.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Radney; son, James Ray Radney; two brothers, James Hearn and Ransford Hearn; sister, Renalda Brown; and parents, James Elijah Hearn and Lillie Mae Hearn.

She is survived by her son, Larry Berry; daughters, Carol Favors and her husband Floyd, Sharyl Matthews, Karen Radney-Murray and her husband Joe; and son, Jerry Radney and his wife Bev.
