Ola Luther

Funeral services for Ola Luther, age 96, of Cumby, will be held at Miller Grove First Baptist Church, at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 23, 2008, with Rev. Jerry Clements and Rev. Byron Houck officiating. Interment will follow at Miller Grove Cemetery, with Mrs. Luther's great-grandsons serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, September 22, 2008, at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
Ola Luther passed away Saturday morning, September 20, 2008, at East Texas Medical Center in Tyler. She was born in the Bonanza Community, on February 9, 1912, the daughter of Lonnie and Dorcas Hurlbert Kinser. She married Claudie D. Luther in Hopkins County, on June 7, 1927. He preceded her in death in 1989. Mrs. Luther was a machinist, retired from Cannon Craft. She was a member of Miller Grove Baptist Church.
Survivors include: daughter, Gay Walls of Cumby; brother, Lonnie Earl Craddock of Austin; sister, Pat Schilling of Pismo Beach, California; grandchildren, Claudia Jones, Mike McCutchen, Kent McCutchen, Debbie Hoff and Tony Walls; great-grandchildren, Heath Darrow, Natalie Stuckey, Michelle Mayhew, Christie Chance, Andy McCutchen, Lori Shaw, Karen Leos, Shannon Garrison, Chris Jones, Cody Walls and Courtney Walls and 16 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Garland Kinser, Elmer Kinser, Cecil Byrd and Edward Maddox.
