Funeral services for Norman Frierson, age 83, of Sulphur Springs will be conducted at 10:30 a.m., Friday, May 25, 2012 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. George McCain officiating. Interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park, with Danton Glossup, Michael Harris, Derek Glossup, Eric Hatley, Michael Merton and Jon Renken serving as pallbearers. No formal visitation is scheduled.
Norman Frierson passed away at his home, Wednesday morning, May 23, 2012. He was born in Chicota on February 14, 1929, the son of Lorenzo Duff Frierson and Alene (Dawes) Frierson. He married Helen Jean Keller in Texarkana on July 8, 1950; she survives. He was a retired dairy equipment worker and he was of the Baptist faith.
Other survivors include: three daughters, Pam Mahand and husband, Larry; Brenda Edwards and husband, Johnny, all of Sulphur Springs and Karen Glossup and husband, Danny, of Stephenville; sister, Margie Sallis of Dallas; grandchildren, Wendy Hatley, Michael Harris, Kenzie Carpenter, Derek Glossup, Danton Glossup, Kristi Dowell, Jon Renken, Starla Merton and Michael Merton and 13 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by sister, Bobbie Wallace.
