Norma Smith

Funeral services for Norma Smith, 75, of Sulphur Springs, will be held at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, May 22, 2008, with Chase Palmer officiating. Interment will follow at Greenview Cemetery , with Jeff Orwosky, Michael Bowden, Richard Allen, Jermiah Jeffreys, Tony Nuziard, David Strange, Jr., Cory Nuziard, Tim Jeffreys and Josh Nuziard serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 22, 2008, at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.

Norma Smith passed away Tuesday morning, April 20, 2008 at Hopkins County Memorial Hospital . She was born in Yantis, on April 4, 1933, the daughter of Frank and Elvie York Pepper. She married Joe Louis Smith in Rockwall, on August 20, 1949. He preceded her in death in 1998. Mrs. Smith was retired from Olan Mills. She was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include: daughter, Becky Bowden; son, Joe Brad Smith, both of Sulphur Springs; two sisters, Mary Valentine of Edinburg and Mattie Czekaj of Garland ; grandchildren, Angela Allen and Michael Bowden and two great-grandchildren, Machelle Allen and Kyleigh Allen.
