Nina Kathrine Post (Pierce), age 71, of Sulphur Springs passed away Friday, July 12, 2019. She was a graduate of Sulphur Springs High School in 1966. Nina was touched by cancer in 1988 and upon winning the battle she became a faithful supporter of the American Cancer Society by serving on the local board, volunteering through various support programs, and participating with the Annual Relay for Life, and Cattle Baron’s Ball. Nina’s selfless giving of her time and resources was recognized with the honor of being named Citizen of the Year in 1995, in more recent years she volunteered for the Sulphur Springs Police Department and assisted with large events management, she was a member of First Baptist Church in Sulphur Springs. Nina primarily supported her husband’s business during their 39 years of marriage, most recently she was employed by Medicine Chest Pharmacy in Sulphur Springs. Nina’s talents and interest were many, including cake decorating, hunting, fishing, and spending time with her family. Nina’s interest in Princess Diana led to a modest collection of memorabilia by the time of her passing. Preceded in death by her parents Robert and Dorothy Pierce, and husband of 39 years, David Post, and grandson Aden Post. She is survived by one brother Johnny Pierce, son Jeff Post, and three grandchildren Alyssa Butler, Alex Post, and McKenna Post, all of Sulphur Springs.
