Funeral services for Nathan Lee, age 62, of Quitman will be conducted at Winnsboro House of Praise at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, April 29, 2012 with Rev. Gary Hampton officiating. Interment will follow at Black Oak Cemetery, with Jay Foster, Kevin Foster, Rip Coates, Jim Rushing, Johnny Coates, Tommy Coates and Bryan Coates serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be one hour before the service (1:00 p.m.) at Winnsboro House of Praise. Nathan Lee passed away Tuesday afternoon, April 24, 2012, at East Texas Medical Center. He was born in El Dorado, Arkansas, August 26, 1949, the son of Nathan Elisha Lee, Sr. and Margaret Ruth( Moody) Lee. He was a truck driver for Dades Lumber and affiliated with Assembly of God Church. He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.
Survivors include: his mother, Margaret Coates of Quitman; sister, Marcia Rushing of Godley; four brothers, Johnny Coates of Cumby, Rip Coates of Winnsboro, Tommy Coates of Arlington and Bryan Coates and grandmother, Polly Moody, both of Quitman. He was preceded in death by his father and two brothers, Charles David Lee and Keith Coates.
