Murrie Hill

Graveside service for Murrie Hill, age 90, of Sulphur Springs, TX will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, May 12, 2017 at Nelta Cemetery with Bro. Marvin Weir officiating. There will be no formal visitation. Mr. Hill passed away on Thursday, May 10, 2018 in Tyler, TX.

George Murrie Hill was born on August 6, 1927 in Sulphur Springs, the son of A.V. and Ethel Hill. He married Murlene Gill on June 25, 1948 in Sulphur Springs, she preceded him in death on 2017. Murrie was a postman for 41 years. He was a member of League Street Church of Christ.

He is survived by his sons, Bavard Hill and wife, Linda of Sulphur Springs and Glen Hill of Natchez, MS; grandchildren, Jason and Heather Hill, Justin Hill; great grandchildren, Emma and Georgia Hill; numerous nieces and nephews.

Murrie was preceded in death by his parents; wife; brother, Wilbur Hill; sister, Doris Finley
