Yantis

Murray Wayne Hudson, 64, of Yantis, Texas, passed away peacefully in his home on January 14, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Born on September 14, 1960, in Kermit, Texas, he was the beloved son of Fred H. Hudson and Shirley L. Hudson.

After graduating from Canton High School, he began a remarkable 46-year career as an analyst for Ro-Cip Equipment Specialist. Known for his dedication, expertise, and loyalty, he left a lasting impact on his colleagues and the industry.

A man of faith, Murray loved God and his church, Believers’ Baptist Church in Emory, Texas. He found strength and comfort in his faith and valued the friendship of Pastor Jason Rolan, who was a great friend to him. Three close friends, Greg Skidmore, Mike Coulter, and Tim Page, surrounded him with love, support, and kindness.

Murray is survived by his mother, Shirley Hudson; two sons, Cole Hudson and his wife Mia Hudson, and Jesse Hudson; a daughter; six granddaughters who brought immense joy to his life; his two sisters, Sandy Miller Sweetin and her husband Paul Sweetin, and Amy Mayfield Warren; his companion, Valerie Palmer, who brought him comfort and joy throughout his life; and many other family members and close friends who will forever cherish his loving memory.

Fishing, hunting, watching football, and traveling through the islands of the Caribbean were some of his favorite pastimes. These activities brought him great happiness and reflected his adventurous and vibrant spirit.

Preceded in death by his grandparents, Fred and Louise Hudson, and Top and Ollie Davis; his father, Fred H. Hudson, who passed away just five months prior; and a daughter, Murray has now joined them in Heaven with our Lord and Savior.

A celebration of his life will be held at a later date with family and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Kidney Cancer Association in his loving memory.
